Our Worship

We believe the acceptable way of worshiping God is instituted by God himself. True worship is neither according to the imaginations and devices of men nor in any other way not prescribed in the Holy Bible.

Our worship is given to God and him alone, not to angels, saints, or any other creature or created objects. Our worship is mediated by Jesus Christ, the one and only son of God. God's grace is administered through the means identified below and by the work of the Holy Spirit in us.

Our Education Hour and Worship Service involve our covenant children. We do not segregate our children into a separate building or room during our instruction and worship, as they are blessings and integral parts of our church.

Our worship service includes the following means of grace:

  • Prayer with Thanksgiving

We strive, by God's grace, to offer prayer in the name of the Son, by the help of his Spirit, according to his will, with understanding, reverence, humility, fervency, faith, love, and perseverance, in the English language.

  • The Reading of the Scriptures

We strive, by God's grace, to read and listen to the reading of the Scriptures with godly fear.

  • Sound Preaching

We strive, by God's grace, to hear the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in all of Scripture, with reverence, joy, and understanding.

  • Singing

We strive, by God's grace, to offer our sacrifice of praise through singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in a congregational format, accompanied by instruments.

  • Administration and Receiving of the Sacraments

We strive, by God's grace, to worthily receive the Sacraments of the New Covenant as instituted by Christ. We receive the Lord's Supper once per month and baptism as the Lord leads.
